Today was truly a stunning day here in Ontario. Usually one would be partaking the first drinks on the patio of the season but since I am still sticking to the 30 Day Whole Body Detox, I had a green juice instead. I am starting to feel a bit more comfortable with the juicer and today a made a very tasty juice.
- 1 green apple
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1/2 lemon, peeled
- small chunk of ginger
- 2 celery stalks
- 1/3 of a very big cucumber!
This is the first juice my daughter has enjoyed, in fact she finished it for me!
Lunch was leftovers from last night, which was one of my favorite Oh She Glows recipes from her cookbook, Broccoli and Quinoa Burritos. I really enjoy it on romaine lettuce leaves, with a bit of hummus, avocado and srircha sauce.
And with the beautiful weather we had dinner outside, bbq homemade burgers for the family and my usual Sol Cuisine. We baked some sweet potatoes and added edamame in shell on the side. A little bit much for dinner actually but it was so delicious! Thank goodness for Digestive Enzymes! They really help when you feel a bit too full.
