30 Day Whole Body Detox 2015 – Day 1

My new juicer!

First day and already new experiences for 2015! I am thrilled with my juicer and enjoyed my first real homemade juicer juice today. I chose the Green Yummified by our juicing gurus, Rebecca Rebel and Dieter Staudinger. When I first met them I was really intrigued by this couple who had done a 40 day juice cleanse. Yes – 40 days!! After reading their book, Juice Your Way To Health, I was convinced that our partnership for this year’s program would be a great match. And so far, it’s been awesome. Thanks to them I bought my first juicer (2nd hand) and am taking a closer look at adding fresh juices to my diet regularly. 2015-04-07 07.32.57Even my husband and daughter want to make juice – just not as green as mine was.  Did you know that I’m giving away a signed copy of their book this week? Lunch was my usual salad, I start with a base of mixed kale salad (large bag from Costco) and add extra veggies and a hard boiled egg. I omitted the poppy-seed dressing and simply drizzled with Optomega and Balsamic Vinaigrette. Although I craved something sweet after lunch. I was able to let the craving pass. Dinner was a detox favorite, the Buddha Bowl recipe from Lettuce Love Café. Tonight’s was super delicious, maybe because my husband actually did most of the work and I simply assembled. True detox comfort food but so good for you!
