A beautiful sunny Friday here in the GTA! Finally it really feels like spring has arrived. The windows are open and a breeze is flowing through the house. Did you have a chance to open your windows today? Did you know that often the air in our homes is more toxic than the air outside? This is especially true during the winter months when we barely get a chance to open our windows.  Make sure you allow the fresh air to circulate around your home this weekend with the nicer weather.

Ten days into the 30 Day Whole Body Detox and feeling great! Did you know that this is a lifestyle that you could technically continue after 30 days? True story! There are people who eat like this all of the time and avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugar as a lifestyle choice. It’s a pretty amazing choice and I can understand why, especially my third year doing this program. There is such a beautiful feeling of knowing that you are treating your body and your liver so well. And I have more energy than ever before. It’s so worth doing this program, I promise you.

Once you’re past the first week, it’s much easier to get into a rhythm. Meal planning and preparing doesn’t take as long and you find it easier to be creative. I am still loving the No Bake Protein Bars by Gorete for snacks (3 batches in 10 days!), which has also replaced cookies as my daughters’ favorite snack. For those who have children, I invite you to observe their food habits and cravings, because there is a very good chance that they mimic yours or your partners’.  I was starting to feel uncomfortable about the fact that every time I left the house without my daughter, she was asking me if I had a bag of Eggies when I returned. She was asking for them regularly and I had to sneak around to eat them! I know, this is a bad sign. It was so bad that she the sound of Eggies being poured into a bowl would wake her up. I’m embarrassed to admit this for sure, but I want you to know that even the healthiest people you know may have a closet bad habit. This program breaks the habit, for good.

Next week is the long weekend to celebrate Easter (for those who choose to) and for some people it’s a weekend away as well. If you’re ready to start this program after your long weekend and finish before the official opening weekend of summer in May, let’s connect in the next 4 days to get your products on hand to start on Monday April 21st. If you’re a member at One Health Clubs in Mississauga or Oakville, we’ll be doing a group challenge starting on April 22nd. I will be on location in Mississauga next Wednesday from 10 – noon.
